The 10th Anniversary Panel of Firefly, as well as The Legend of Korra and Community

Here are articles (spoilers!):

Meeting Felicia Day
They taped The Flog at the same time as the Firefly panel so we weren't able to go. I was a bit disappointed, except Geek and Sundry had a Meet and Greet with Felicia first thing on Thursday morning. We went and got our badges, and then walked over to Belo (YouTube Lounge for the weekend). I can't say enough about Felicia, and I can see why she is "The Queen of Comic-Con".
Playing Munchkin, I mean, Winning Munchkin
We went to the gaming room to play a few games of Munchkin when we had breaks in our schedule. You can learn how to play the game from this episode of Tabletop. It is Joey's and my new addiction.
|My hand at the end of Game #1.|
Game #1- Played original with expansions. One of the guys took all my cards out of play, and knocked me down to level 1 (Level 10 to win). I built myself up again with the help of Cheat! cards to win the game! Prize: Avengers t-shirt
|I won this!!!|
Game #2- Cthulhu deck with a bunch of teenagers. They added in the Munchkinomicon so they kept fighting over getting the card and not leveling up. No one paid attention until I reached Level 9. Joey nudged me when I was talking to the troll next to me, but I knew he would help me. I never stole the Munchkinomicon from him and helped him out for free. It ended up in my favor. Prize: I won more prizes this time, which we gave him an expansion we already had and a little girl our bracelet. I had won what I wanted--- ChibiCthulhu!!!
The Legend of Zelda concert
We bought these tickets when we knew we were moving to San Diego. It was held by the convention center at the Embarcadero Marina Park next to the water and the view of downtown. I definitely will be listening to the soundtracks when editing KIN in the next few weeks. I walked down the main theme of The Legend of Zelda so the music has a very special meaning to the both of us.
Book signings and author sightings
Book publishers were present at Comic-Con! Penguin had a lot of fun giveaways and Mysterious Galaxy helped with the author signings after panels. I didn't make it to any panels, but I did go to one signing. I met a nice gal in line who I took downstairs to show her where other fun authors hang out, which was fun. I met Andrea Cremer, Marie Lu, N.K. Jemisin, and Tessa Gratton. Joey went over and chatted with Orson Scott Card, too. I loved talking to the authors about Firefly and witches. Fun!!!

We talked Firefly since I just got out of the panel. Can you guess who I am?

I would like to wave hello and to my wonderful friends that we met and hung out with during the con, especially Sue Dawe! We wouldn't have been there without her.
